These excerpts look pretty good actually. It's a shame Busker Alley didn't work out. The show is based on the 1938 British semi-musical St. Martin's Lane also known as Sidewalks of London, which starred Charles Laughton, Vivien Leigh, and Rex Harrison. I've never seen it, although it used to be shown occasionally on the old American Movie Classics channel, hosted be Bob Dorian. I've never seen it listed on TCM.

If Wikipedia is accurate, the Sherman brothers and AJ Carothers actually wrote the show in 1969, when its title was Piccadilly. The musical has had a crazy and convoluted history with various titles, tours, and regional productions but never made it to Broadway. York Theatre did a concert version of Busker Alley in 2006 with a cast headed by Jim Dale, Glenn Close, and Broadway veterans like George S. Irving, Noah Racey, and others. Jay Records released an Original Cast Recording on CD in 2007, which I listen to once in awhile.
