For me, one of the main draws to see FX's ''Feud: Capote vs. the Swans'' was catching the radiant Diane Lane, who plays Slim Keith.

I was surprised to learn that Lane had done Chekhov's ''The Cherry Orchard'' TWICE on Broadway, once in 2016, and earlier in 1977, when she was 12, opposite Meryl Streep and Irene Worth. At 13, she turned down a role in Swados' ''Runaways'' to make her feature-film debut in ''A Little Romance.''

Having seen the first 3 of 8 episodes of this ''Feud,'' I might drop out. I'm just not that interested or invested in this story about Capote and his socialites.

(On the other hand, ''Masters of the Air,'' Apple TV's 9-episode miniseries about World War II pilots, is taking off for me.)
