| I saw the pilot which I thought was excellent. I particularly liked Gus Van Sant's cinematic direction. The exacting period design was excellent, great actors and an interesting script by Jon Robin Baitz. But I have to say I haven't followed through on the other episodes. The commercial breaks are annoying. But I also found it disturbing... kind of like "Drugstore Cowboy" checks into the Sherry-Netherlands. A rather humorless tale of addiction to beautiful faces and surfaces, money and gossip. |
