Oh, yeah, I'm sure he must have written some letters. Or at least I'm pretty sure. People wrote letters back then. But I guess he wasn't generally a frequent letter-writer, unlike so many people.

I'm not the biggest expert on Hart, but Marmorstein does write about what a great host he was and how he loved having people over all the time when he was younger and lived with his well-to-do parents. And I imagine that was true after he no longer lived with them, but what I remember more vividly some years after reading Marmorstein is that Hart's friends were constantly around when he lived with his parents.
