Oddly, Weaver was much better in the benefit reading, when she seemed much less forced and artificial, than in the regular run. I really didn't understand what she was doing in the regular run.

Matthew Morrison was also much better in the benefit performance of South Pacific a couple of months ago than in the original run, which I think is partially because he's grown as an actor over time and partially because I think he was directed to be very flat in the original run.
