The same thing is done at the end of ACT I of Oklahoma. The Act does NOT end with the dream ballet.

I'll chalk this up to semantics. I would say that Laurie waking up and Jud's line to her are still part of the sequence that includes the literal ballet. The music is seamless and keeps going through this action, to the end of the act proper - it doesn't finish with the end of the dance.
