| She likes it because she knows Sunset Boulevard as much as anyone can know it - always was critical of the piece - and this production is NOT what the original creators intended Sunset Boulevard to be, and yet it works brilliantly in its own terms. And this is more of a Jamie Lloyd event than an ALW event, so for LuPone - who can hold a grudge with a zealous conviction - it should have been easier to open herself up to it. Which, apparently, she did. |
