It didn't occur to me when I first saw the movie but today at the second viewing, I was puzzled.
During the opening sequence, there's a shot of Wizard of Oz characters walking on the yellow brick road. In the musical, Fiyero became the scarecrow via Elphaba's magic and they ran away at the end. Then who is the scarecrow in the opening sequence? Did Fiyero join the gang after he left with Elphaba? If so why?? |
