| Totally agree-still think it's the best performance I ever saw,even after 50 years.She was stunning throughout the entire performance,but when she got to Rose's Turn,I think everyone in the Winter Garden knew we'd NEVER see anything like this ever again in our lives.When she got to the last "for me!",there was silence while the astounded audience caught it's breath-then applause the like of which I never heard in all my years of going to theater.Pure genius! |
