| She was putting it out there on social media around the early announcement of the Jackman revival (I think it was before the pandemic and vaccine brouhaha). She wanted the role of Marian Paroo and I think she would have been lovely in it. She's more the type than Sutton Foster voice-wise and age-wise (though she is 39 now, she could still play it onstage). I am sad that it turned out this way because she is lovely performer as is Zachary Levi. However, I don't know if canceling Trump supporters or vaccine deniers is a profitable path going forward - the 2024 election showed (ostensibly) that the country supports the MAGA cause. And if they canceled a celebrity for being a liberal democrat or supporting a cause like BLM, then we would be screaming bloody murder and accusations of fascism would ensue (as they should). Everyone has the right to free speech and their political and religious beliefs. But they are not immune from the repercussions of their speech or views. Marlo Manners (Lady Barrington) |
