Ragtime-joyous and thrilling. Transfer?

Ive been a huge fan of Ragtime since seeing the original four times.

The production at City Center is joyous, thrilling, heartfelt and otherwise magnificent. (no comparisons to the previous Broadway productions)

What makes it so superb? The book, the score, the voices and that gorgeous 28 piece orchestra. The voices soar, the score, which to me...like the show itself...is underestimated...is fully realized in the most gorgeous way. At some point I hope Ragtime rises to its rightful place as one of the best modern musicals.

After every Encores there is talk about the show moving. I know Ragtime is not financially viable for a long commercial run. But, a limited run seems viable. I hope it happens. The show deserves it.
