| I read this somewhere as well, more like Martin gave her the cold shoulder and was rude. But while Martin had tv success as Peter Pan in 1950s, Paramount had tried to make a big screen movie star of her in the 1940s and couldn't. She was certainly talented and attractive in those films, sometimes opposite Bing Crosby, but she wasn't otherwise exceptional in them. Maybe her husband was giving her false hopes about doing the movie version of "South Pacific". |
