| One the last "great ones"! She could hold her own with just about anyone on the screen. She would often tell the story of just how awful and mean Mary Martin was to her when Mitzi got the movie version of "South Pacific". Mitzi was so excited to meet her when Mary and her husband visited the set, but Martin was a first class b**ch to her. Richard Rodgers confirms that story in his autobiography. |
