I'd argue that you're most likely in the minority of viewers who found something to be lacking from the play.
That being said, I think Ashford is one of the last people I'd want to see in something like STEREOPHONIC. She's a tremendous talent, but she's big big BIG. Great in KINKY BOOTS, LEGALLY BLONDE, etc ... less so when she's allowed to go completely off the rails, like in SWEENEY. |
