| I'm pretty sure Javier Camarena did an encore when he sang the "Ah! mes Amis" from "Daughter of the Regiment" at the Met -- that's the aria that really made Pavarotti a star back in the day with its nine high Cs. I saw Camarena (and it was through something like Gold Club), and he was terrific. This article below says he did an encore. That site is known for its very rather, interesting, comments. | |
