As a child of the 80s, living far from New York, I got a lot of my history from oversized coffee table books and followed the developments on Broadway in the 90s via the Sunday Times (I loved looking at the ads) and the Tony performances (this was when I would solidify what I needed/wanted to see on my summer trip).
The internet began being a proper thing in my life in my later teenage years, but even then, Broadway was quite slow to figure out how to be online, so I was still getting most of my info from TV, magazines, and word of mouth well into the aughts. |
