I loved ''Spring Awakening'' (2006), so I saw onstage a couple of times. There were 26 seats. It was cool to share in the onstage energy, only a few feet away from the terrific performers. OK, the sound wasn't ideal now & then because the cast was projecting out to the audience, but I knew most the lyrics by heart.

Anyway, it was a bargain at $31.50 to sit onstage. ''Xanadu'' (2007) charged $41.50 for onstage seats. ... And now ''Our Town'' charges $225-$249? Yikes!

I'll sit this one out. ... What other Broadway shows have offered onstage seating? ''Copenhagen'' and ''Equus'' come to mind. Others? How was the view?
