I don't know who Eliot would be considering for the role, but certainly neither Rosalie Craig nor Katrina Lenk have high enough film profiles to make them really viable candidates. Cynthia Erivo is 37 and about to explode with the very high profile film version of WICKED opening in a couple of months. She might be an interesting Bobbie. And Ariana DeBose is 33 and an Oscar-winner, and she might also be interesting, even though she has not really had a high profile role since WEST SIDE STORY.

I mention their ages only because the material is built around the character's 35th birthday and both are in that neighborhood.

It's interesting that both seem to play significantly younger than their actual ages. Erivo is playing a college student in WICKED, so presumably late teens or early 20's. In the WEST SIDE STORY remake 3 years ago, DeBose was also likely playing a character at least a decade younger than she actually was. Could that work against them in playing a role where the age of the character is so central and the material really hits the audience over the head with it?
