| Boy, this will probably sound dumb, but does anyone know if the upcoming Ahmanson production of American Idiot will have singing? Here's part of the press release: This groundbreaking, new production, directed by Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Snehal Desai, and produced in collaboration with Deaf West Theatre, features an ensemble of both Deaf and hearing actors, and is performed simultaneously in American Sign Language and spoken English. Anyone know if they literally mean "spoken" English? Are the hearing actors not singing the score? I can't find the answer anywhere. |
