Here's video of the 2003 Broadway cast of ''Big River,'' starring Tyrone Giordano as Huck Finn and Michael McElroy, a Tony nominee, as Jim. Daniel H. Jenkins, dressed as Mark Twain, supplied Huck's singing voice. Jenkins originated the role of Huck in the 1985 show & was Tony nominated for it. Here, Huck and Jim perform ''Muddy Water,'' followed by ''Waiting for the Light to Shine.'' And the musical received a Tony Honors for Excellence. This ''Big River'' also got Drama Desk nominations for Musical Revival, Giordano, McElroy and director Jeff Calhoun (who should've gotten a Tony nod, too). |
