I, too, missed Guido’s schoolmates in Be Italian though the Little Guido actor Charlie Firlik was fine throughout. The casting overall was excellent and each of the principal actors got to shine. I agree that Pasquale sang his part superbly. Broadway needs to see him do this part. Carolee Carmello, Shareen Ahmed, Leslie Margherita, Elizabeth Stanley and Michelle Veintimilla did lovely work with their songs.

I overall thought this was a fine reimagining of the show though maybe some of the choreography was a bit too busy. I didn’t think the ensemble had to be there for so many numbers. And perhaps The Grand Canal number needed more spectacular costumes.

I also was puzzled that Jonathan Tunick wasn’t credited with orchestrations.

I do wonder if having various cast members miming conducting worked.
And did Luisa break up with Guido permanently at the end.

I know The Germans at the Spa has been cut in the past. But when did the music about the Western, documentary and Biblical epic get cut?

I also saw Nine a second time when I found the Today Tix discount.
