| Has anyone seen Little Bear Ridge Road at the Steppenwolf in Chicago? I currently have one ticket for this Saturday matinee. I bought it many months ago when I thought I was going to be in town for work. That trip was canceled. Since I still had the play ticket, I ended up booking a pretty cheap roundtrip flight from NYC to Chicago. I'd pretty much be going just for the play: I arrive Friday night and depart 24 hours later. (I can't extend the trip-- nor would I want to pay to do so.) So my question for anyone who has seen it is... is it worth the trip?? I adore Laurie Metcalf and I've always wanted to see a show at the Steppenwolf. I figured the time is now! I understand the reviews were good too... but now that the trip is approaching, it's admittedly a long way to go for a 90 minute play. So is it worth it?? I'm considering canceling my trip and selling the ticket and just hoping for a Broadway transfer. (I'll have to catch something at the Steppenwolf another time.) I just don't know if I'm gonna regret this or not! Someone give me some advice to tip the scales! Haha |
