Pre-Existing Condition last night, question about Deirdre O'Connell

I saw the play last night and enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm impressed with Marin Ireland as a playwright and the company of 4 was very strong. Deirdre O'Connell was on book and also had her ankle propped up for a lot of the show, which made me wonder if an injury had stopped her from rehearsing the play as much as she normally would and that that was why she hadn't learned her lines--or if that was a byproduct of the rotating cast of actors.

Also, some parts of the play didn't work convincingly with a woman of her age, I thought, (it seems to be written for a younger woman in the dating scenes and the scenes where she talks to her mom. Not that middle aged women don't date and talk to their moms, just that the particular conversations seemed written for a younger character). At the same time, it was interesting to see Deirdre O'Connell play character A, for sure.
