I think it's reasonable to assume that most people are following the Euros. It's an event that happens once every four years. I've not seen any other reports of people being angry at this particular 15-minute delay, in fact, most posts I've seen were people thrilled that they were able to experience both. Theater is live, sometimes shows go longer than planned for many reasons - intermissions are held for bathroom lines, shows start late, etc.

I grew up in Spain, which has a similar football culture.
