Apropos of the debate we are having around the
Presidency, I respectfully offer that we can acknowledge that the last few years of life can be a time when a person diminishes without that being a slight or a judgment against an entire class of peoppe.
I should have used more inclusive language, but I will admit that I find much of the reaction to this last musical mawkish and mocking of an American Mastet, and I let my emotions lead me. You are reminding me that I recently worked with a brilliant person in their late 80s, and I was using ageist language in that sentence. |
