I missed my chance to see Carol. The night that Dolly tour was playing in my town she made a last-minute (apparently) decision to fly back to NY to receive an honorary Tony. More than half the audience requested refunds, but we stuck around and saw a VERY charming Dolly courtesy of Florence Lacey who, I take it, almost never got to go on. We had the entire mezzanine to ourselves and Florence waved to us and blew us kisses at the curtain call.
