Comps are included in today’s numbers. I’m sure for shows like heart of rock and roll there were lots of comps to get to 68% last week with an average price of $70.
Also, weekly costs to run a show seems to be a lot higher now compared to ticket price than it was back then. Higher than inflation. Producer in 2000 was $100 top ticket price of any show which is $188 inflation. Probably that’s in the low to mid $200s now (excluding premium seating introduced by Producers). It’s a little different now since the entire orchestra was $100 and now there are 4-6 price points in orchestra for every show ranging from $100-$300. |
