They really did it no favors with a mash-up designed to give all four of their acting nominees a moment. In trying to feature everything that people say is so good about the show, they ended up not making any of it look good. (And if the lobby bit was indeed prerecorded, infinite extra demerits to them.)
That sort of Tony number rarely comes off well. It's a wonder shows keep attempting it. |
