| It didn't occur to me at the time, but I bet you're right about the Jay-Z bit being pre-recorded. Why else not have him show up in the actual auditorium (which would have received a thunderous reception, no doubt)? In fact, now that you mention it, before the Hell's Kitchen performance there was a moment where a tiny split-second note of 'Empire State of Mind' was accidentally played. I forget the exact moment. It was either after Ariana's opening or in a transition, but it was very obviously a pre-recorded segment that someone who is probably kicking themselves this morning played from the control room. |
