Regardless of that discussion, I'm afraid I DO share your sentiment on that performance. It was... rote and dull and lacking in character. It was like someone plugged in "Make an inoffensive Broadway production number based upon Alicia Keys' music and life..." into an AI program. Funnily, it only came alive when Alicia and Jay-Z showed up. I wonder how many casual viewers realize Keys isn't IN the show? |
