The reason not to give two awards in any category is because it creates a situation where there is no one "best" performer. And it privileges acting over all other categories which only give one award. Yes, for publicity purposes it's nice to spread the wealth. But in these acting categories there is no longer a substantive singular best. Should best musical now be two awards and be most outstanding musicals instead? Because for publicity purposes that would surely be better
