''Being Alive'' started previews last Tuesday and opened Saturday night, so congrats on posting the first report I've seen about it.

Having caught those other Sondheim revues, I'm really curious to see how they use tunes from ''Saturday Night,'' ''Pacific Overtures'' and ''Road Show.''

Trivia: This isn't the first Sondheim revue to be called ''Being Alive.'' In 2007, Billy Porter conceived and directed a revue of Sondheim, sprinkled with Shakespeare. It played the Westport Country Playhouse, and its all-African-American cast included Chuck Cooper, Joshua Henry and Leslie Odom, Jr.
