I think Road Show has plenty of excerptable (is that a word lol?) songs, as does Saturday Night. It would be interesting to see if any of the Road Show songs relating to the historical plot (the Gold Rush or the brothers' various schemes) make it in, but that might be tricky. But I'd certainly expect "The Best Thing That Ever Has Happened" and "Isn't He Something" - perhaps "Talent" or maybe "It's In Your Hands Now." "Brotherly Love" would be an interesting choice.

For a few reasons, Pacific Overtures's songs would be harder to make work well out of context. But "Poems" could certainly work as well as "Pretty Lady." Will it matter, in our day, if these songs are sung by non-AAPI (let alone non-Japanese) performers? In a revue format I'd like to think it can be acceptable. But as a white guy, I won't try to speak for anyone else.

I think almost any song from Saturday Night could be made to work out of context in revue format.

But yes, it will be interesting to see how this show uses that material.
