All good points.

I've been screaming since London that it is a half-baked gender-switch and half-baked modern update, and those are just a few of the many examples making my case undeniable.

I mean, truly look now further than "ought to have fella" making it through all eyes and ears on the creative team, from London to broadway, to see how either little this was all thought through or how little the people thinking it through get about *today*... but also, get about the play and characters, as seen by Andy, and the guys singing "Poor Baby", and do not get me started on the infuriatingly bad effect the Amy/Bobby "Marry me" scene has when played by a straight female Bobby and her gay male friend, to the scene, the play, the end of the act, and to the path way to "Marry Me A Little" and therefor to "Being Alive."
Terrible choices, that are minor but stand out like "Fella", or that are major and that most audience won't even know the damage/sabotage that's being done to the play as it's meant to work.
