Someone posted this on the BroadwayWorld message board in late May:

According to media invites that went out, “This concert residency is not open for review” and is only open “for feature consideration.”

Just because the show doesn't WANT reviews (or isn't ready for them), critics don't have to abide just because they didn't get a comp. They could buy a ticket and report on it anyway, as a matter of newsworthiness. And sometimes critics have done that: ''Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,'' anyone?
