| It really really baffles me. Even 3 nights, even 5... I just went to see if he's even ever had a charting song, because I couldn't name a single song he's had (outside of Dear Evan Hansen, which doesn't count)... the only one he's had on the US Pop Chart was with Lin and was a mash up of a track from DEH and a track from Hamilton, released to help an anti-gun violence charity in 2018, and it charted at 49. He apparently had a song of his called "Imagine" from his album that had a remix by a DJ called Tiësto, the remix charted on the US Pop Chart at 27. It just doesn't seem like he's a big enough draw yet as a solo musical act to warrant such a long run of performances as such a space... let alone the insanity of it being the act that opens this historic, long awaited return of the Palace. |
