It is my understanding that the print release controls the online release of the review (the night before). I cannot think of an example of where online jumped that setup; maybe you can. (And TBC, I am aware of examples where there never was a print review but there was one online.)
Online, any outlet is capable of posting as many reviews as its people can write. But I feel the last thing the production, or Cole Escola personally, would want would be relegation to an online-only review.
And you act as if the Times did not publish a generous feature on the show and its star. Because while it is true that Escola has been "celebrated," virtually all of the recognition has been below 14th Street until that feature dropped.
Finally, I am not your or anyone else's (on here) leader (or Leader), but like many others I do state my convictions (perhaps sometimes more forcefully than you appreciate). Make no mistake though: you are free to adopt, reject, or ignore them as is your preference. |
