| This week, I saw understudies for Eden, Steven Pasquale, and Tamika Lawrence -- all mostly solid understudy performances, but disappointing nonetheless. I, for one, am thrilled that public sentiment seems to be moving a bit back towards pre-pandemic work ethic and audience expectations. I am so fed up with understudies going on with no rehearsal or notice (and productions flaunting that, as if it's a good thing??), while ticket prices continue to rise. What a scam. |
