| I think the issue you are bringing up is squarely about DeBose and what she does (or does not) bring to the proceedings. I don't think there is an inherent pitfall in hosting consecutively or with less than a 5 year gap that Erivo needs to avoid. I don't think Hugh Jackman, Angela Lansbury, Neil Patrick Harris, or Rosie O'Donnell (to name a few) considered for themselves, or were considered by others, as having made a career mistake by hosting the Tonys so often and so close together. They were all just so much better than DeBose. | |
