Broadway's Wonderful Town and the 1955 film of My Sister Eileen are different musicals based on the same play (My Sister Eileen, written by Joseph A. Fields and Jerome Chodorov), which in turn had been adapted from Ruth McKenney's autobiographical short stories as published in the New Yorker. |
