| I'm not going to try and read the article because I don't want to encounter the Atlantic paywall. However, I have read other articles and what seems to displease Mr. Trump (or he pretends it displeases him) is that there are events and shows at the Kennedy Center with drag performers. I read a review for Joy Behar's OB show and one of the monologues in the show is about a woman who's frustrated that her husband enjoys cross-dressing. The reviews points out that's not such a big shocker any more. And it's not. Seems like every show in NY now has to have a drag in it. It's not a big deal anymore. Well, Trump thinks (or pretends to think) it is a big deal. His cynicism and hypocrisy are further on display when you consider he and his wife went to Jordan Roth's gay wedding. See link. Mr. Trump and Jordan Roth's father are in business together. Since the gay wedding, Jordan Roth is mostly seen publicly dressed in female clothing. I seem to remember Jordan Roth is behind The Great Gatsby musical (a story about rich people ruining other people's lives) that played in Cambridge. I guess it won't be playing The Kennedy Center over the next 4 years? Or am I wrong? Perhaps it will get done if Roseanne wants to play Myrtle and Tiffany plays Daisy. |
