Jerome Kern and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN

Reading the thread about ANNIE GET YOUR GUN brought up a question I've been wanting to ask for awhile. Apparently, Jerome Kern was enlisted initially by producers Rodgers and Hammerstein to write the score for the show. When he died, they then went with Irving Berlin. My question is is how long did Jerome Kern work on the show before he died and does there exist any lead sheets, etc. of that work? Would be really interesting to see and hear. Thanks :-)
