Thank you so much for such a detailed report! So much detail is really appreciated.
I have to confess I have never seen the show (as you mentioned, it is not done much regionally). I don't have a problem with the songs outside the world of the-movie-within-the-movie being cut as a principle. It worked for Cabaret IMO. But in Cabaret, I think the strongest songs remained intact. It sounds like that may not be as true here, which could be a significant problem. |
