| I don't know if you read June Havoc's memoirs but she addresses Gypsy's embellishments. I of course wasn't present but I can't imagine June made that stuff up. Yes, Gypsy Rose Lee was one of America's groundbreaking stars who figured out early on how she could make a living, and it wasn't only by stripping. She knew how to work the press to her advantage. Plus, she was undoubtedly a clever bon vivant and raconteur, a true one in a million. |
