I will definitely agree with you about it being church music.
There are two and a half components that make it feel "churchy" to me: the drums, the electric guitar, and (here's the half) the lyrics.
Additionally, i think that it sits vocally for a worship leader who can sing but also does a lot of jumping up and down yelling "lets go church!"
(while i do like my church, i hate the music: there is a lot to be said for the loss of more traditional hymns and some of the older praise and worship music. the new praise and worship music is trash, both musically AND lyrically) |
