I am reminded of modern evangelical churches populated primarily by America’s youth. There is a kind of pop sound where it feels melodic, but in the end, it’s actually just numbing.
I find that funny. Your impression is your impression, but I don't hear anything "christian rock" church-y or numbing about this. (I hear a country influence and a lot of joy.) I'd give it more credit than you do. I'd obviously want to hear more of the score before making any big judgements, but this isn't the fiasco I expected from your post either. |
