Thank you for your kind words! I find this revival of Gypsy to be very interesting and with so many aspects worthy of discussion! I guess others think so, too -- it's been the big topic on this message board since it started previews.
Julie Benz is great. Her role that's the most vivid in my head for some reason is her tiny part in As Good As It Gets, when Jack Nicholson is so mean to her. She completely nails her confused/hurt/offended/embarrassed reaction.
I missed Burstein in Fiddler - he was out when I saw it. I did not see Pictures from Home, although I'm curious what his performance was like. It doesn't sound like any of the actors in that production, who are all outstanding, were at their best. |
