| Agree! The Emcee is playing it as comedy - so I’m not sure how saying “this isn’t a comedy” is staying in character. Perhaps the fault lies in the direction of the show for not landing this moment better - I didn’t think it did a very good job of drawing the through lines from the book scenes to the Emcee’s numbers. |
