| So sad to hear this. Her extraordinary performance as the Beggar Woman will always be with me. Sondheim spoke of how she stunned them at her audition by bringing a sexual hysteria to the character, and they cast her on the spot. And so beautiful and touching in Kiss of the Spider Woman. And the first person to appear in the original New York casts of four Sondheim shows. May she rest in peace. |
