When is the last time a composer really had bad things to say about a major commercial production of his work? I'm still surprised at how much praise Sondheim seemed to have for the Doyle-izing of his musicals, and that he seemed happy about the gender-bent Company as well. But really, what was he going to say even if he didn't like them?
So even if ALW had reservations about this production, I doubt he'd be that public about it.
